The Global Green Future Leadership Awards is for any organization that participates in environmentally friendly or green activities to ensure that all processes, products, and manufacturing activities adequately address current environmental concerns while maintaining a profit.
In other words, it is the Green Future that "meets the needs of the present world without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs. It is the process of assessing how to design products that will take advantage of the current environmental situation and how well a company's products perform with renewable resources.

The process entails of invitation of entries in different categories from various organizations. Organization is given the freedom to present the entry using their own creativity, knowledge & empirical data. The supporting with each entry may be of a different nature.
Organizational Category: Each entry should be accompanied by write-up of not more than 2700 words excluding attachment; Profile of the company & Brochure; Media write-ups & Interviews as annexure.
Individual Category: Each entry should be accompanied by personal profile of nominated person; Achievements; Awards & Accolades received; Media Coverage; Articles published; Photographs & any other relevant details.

Dr. Raed Sherif is a solar veteran with over 25 years of experience in both PV and CSP, working in the USA and in the Middle East/North Africa. As an international solar energy consultant, he led the development and deployment of the first utility-scale solar PV project in Kuwait Oil Company. Prior to that, he was the VP of international business of a US-based CSP Power Tower company, which commissioned the first CSP project in India. Raed is one of the pioneers of concentrating PV technology. He was the GM of the CPV division at Boeing-Spectrolab, overseeing the development and commercialization of high-efficiency, robust concentrator cell receivers. Raed was a team member of the Boeing-NREL team that developed the world’s first Multijunction solar cell that surpassed 40% efficiency, recognized as one of the top 100 scientific accomplishments in all fields of science in 2007.
Raed has 30 issued patents in addition to publication of numerous technical articles. He received a Ph.D. in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and B.Sc. with Highest Honors from Alexandria University.
Currently Senior Adviser at at Ministry of Energy and Public Utilities of Mauritius. Holder of a BA (Hons) Administration, University of Mauritius. Joined the Public Service in 1972. Served as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Energy and Public Utilities from 2008 to 2012 and as Senior Chief Executive from 2015 to August 2018. Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science, Research and Technology,(2012-2014), Ministry of Land Transport (2006-2008)Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment.(2001-2005), Ministry of Women and Child protection ( 1996-2001) Also served at the Prime Minister’s Office ffrom 1992 – 1996 and Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
She has chaired various Boards, namely Agricultural Marketing Board (1996-2001), the National Women’s Council and National Children’s Council,(1998-2001) the Export Processing Zone Labour Welfare Fund,(2001-2005) National Transport Corporation, the Central Electricity Board and served as member of Tertiary Education Commission, University of Mauritius Council, Mauritius Institute of Education, Mauritius College of the Air, High Powered Scholarships Committee, Food and Agricultural Research Council, Mauritius Sugar Authority, Mauritius Research Council, Mauritius Ports Authority, amongst others.
Dr. Peter Lilienthal
Dr. Peter Lilienthal is the CEO of HOMER Energy. Since 1993, he has been the developer of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s HOMER® hybrid power optimization software, which has been used by over 190,000 energy practitioners in 193 countries. NREL has licensed HOMER Energy to be the sole world-wide commercialization licensee to distribute and enhance the HOMER model.
Dr. Lilienthal was the Senior Economist with International Programs at NREL from 1990 - 2007. He was the lead analyst and one of the creators of NREL’s Village Power Programs. He has a Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. He has been active in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency since 1978. This has included designing and teaching courses at the university level, project development of independent power projects, and consulting to industry and regulators. His expertise is in the economic and financial analysis of renewable and micro-grid projects.
Stefan Froboese has a master’s degree in electrical engineering with over 17 years of experience working in the semiconductor and solar business. As SungrowCTO for the EMEA region,he is responsible for the product strategy in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is based in Munich, Germany with frequent visits to theSungrow HQ in Hefei, China.
He has been with the company since 1st December 2016. During this time, he has built up strategic business collaborations with third party supplier to enable Sungrow to offer one stop shop solutions to its valued customers. Stefan is a frequent speaker on solar trade shows and conferences, such as Intersolar Munich.
Previously he was Director for the global product management of Conergy in Hamburg, one of the biggest solar company in the industry at that time. From 2012-2015 Stefan was member of the Board of Directors at PV Cycle in Brussel.
Stefan is passioned about solar and e-mobility. He is exited to work for an industry that provides the cheapest and greenest power to the world.
Dr. Matt Kennedy
Dr. Matt Kennedy is a recognised energy policy maker with a strong track record of successfully building collaborative relationships between industry and academia. Matt heads the strategy and business function for the International Energy Research Centre, an Irish Government supported technology centre. Prior to this role Matt led national and international energy R&D initiatives for the past decade on behalf of the Irish Government. Matt held the position of Senior Advisor on energy and climate issues and delivered the SEAI strategy 2010-2015.
Internationally, Matt has developed an international energy profile as the Chair of a collaborative group of 10 OECD (IEA) countries that pooled finance for research collaborative activities. Matt negotiated on technology transfer, IP and trade issues on behalf of the EU at COP 21 in Paris. Matt works with developing countries as the Chair of the UN's Climate Technology Centre and Network in Copenhagen, and the Chair of the Programme Board of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) in Vienna. Matt has a PhD from Trinity College Dublin, MBA from University College Dublin and MA from NUI Galway. He has participated on the US International Visitor Leadership Programme and has a Certificate in R&D from INSEAD in Paris.
Thomas Schroepfer is Professor and Founding Associate Head of Pillar of Architecture and Sustainable Design at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). His research and design work investigates the increasingly complex relationship between design and technology in architecture and relates to advances in environmental strategies, structure and form, performance and energy, computer simulation and modelling, digital fabrication and building processes. He has been recognized as a creative leader in the industry and has sought-out as a keynote speaker at international symposiums and workshops.
His work has been exhibited at important international venues, including at the World Architecture Festival, Venice Architecture Biennale and World Congress of Architecture. His book publications have been translated into several languages and include Dense + Green: Innovative Building Types for Sustainable Urban Architecture (2016), Ecological Urban Architecture: Qualitative Approaches to Sustainability (2012) and Material Design: Informing Architecture by Materiality (2011). He is the recipient of prestigious awards and recognitions including the World Architecture Festival Award, Singapore President’s Design Award, German Design Award and Asia Education Leadership Award.
Dr. Chindarat Taylor
Dr Chindarat Taylor is the Founder and Director of Resource Efficiency Pathway, an environment and infrastructure consultancy that has been advising municipalities, governments and companies on the development of waste to energy infrastructure internationally,including the UK, Thailand and Australiafor over ten years.
Chindarat is passionate about sustainable waste management and is recognized as an international expert on waste to energy infrastructure development. She regularly joins industry roundtables, chairs discussion panels, speaks at international conferences, and publishes articles in industry-leading journals.
Her work focuses on strategic advice and implementation support focusing on project viability and deliverability. This work includes advice on partnership development, the circular economy, technology evaluation, feedstock supplysecurity andrisk management. She has over twenty-five years’ experience in wasteand environment management, joint venture management and consulting. Thisincludes management of three joint ventures for BP/Amoco and various operations for ICI. She was a director at the UK Environment Agency, where she established the innovative and highly successful Pathway to Zero Waste Program involving 72 municipalities.
Chindarat is currently Vice President of the Solid Waste Management Association of Thailand (SWAT) and an Advisory Board member of the World Waste to Energy and Resources Summit.She is a Chartered Waste Manager (MCIWM) from the Chartered Institution of Waste Management,UK. Chindarat ’s customer focus and ‘can do’ approach helps to develop high performing teams and generate innovative solutions.
Dr. Hanne Tine Ring Hansen
Dr. Hanne Tine Ring Hansen has a master’s degree in architectural engineering (2004) and a PhD in sustainable building design (2008). For more than 10 years she has been working as a building design consultant specialised in Sustainable Building Design and certification. Dr. Ring Hansen is one of the six original founders of the Danish Green Building Council and she has facilitated the development of different tools to help design strategies for sustainable building design.
For the past two years Dr. Ring Hansen’s role has been extended to include Better Corporation at Søren Jensen Consulting Engineers. In this role she facilitates the development of a regenerative approach to sustainable building design, BCorp certification of the company and collaborates with HR and Facility Management on securing responsible operation of Søren Jensen’s daily operation. Throughout her career, Dr. Ring Hansen, has always brought a diverse and creative mindset to the teams she is a part of. She has always been a change agent in the teams she has been a part of and on projects for clients. Dr. Ring Hansen is currently completing her last course of the LEAD – Leader in Corporate Innovation education at Stanford Graduate Business School.
Dan is a seasoned energy professional, having spent most of his career in clean technology and advancing low carbon development and generation. Having started his life in a technical role, he remains adept and capable of working across the entire supply chain, from utility scale generation through to optimisation of modern island grid systems, that enable clean electrification schemes.
Dan has spent the last 10 years working with start-ups and innovators across smart grids and renewable technology. In 2013 he worked on one of the first grid connected battery systems to support the move to a low carbon economy followed by delivering the first European installation of Teslas grid scale battery system a few years later.
Dan is interested in not-for-profit development, including rural electrification and off grid schemes that support the reduction of poverty through increased access to clean power sources. Dan is aalso trustee for a charity aimed at increasing education opportunities for children in Cambodia.
Damber Singh Rai
Mr. Damber Singh Rai began his career as Forest Range Officer under the Department of Forests and Parks Services (DoFPS), Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, Bhutan in 1987. He took over the charges of Thimphu Forest Division as Divisional Forest Officer in 1996. He was appointed as the Park Manager of Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park in 1997.
In 2009 he established Wangchuck Centennial National Park, the largest National Park of Bhutan. During his tenure in the two National Parks, he was very instrumental in implementing many conservation interventions and community based developmental works through Integrated Conservation and Development Programs, covering almost 8 Districts in Bhutan. He also served as the Project Manager for Green Bhutan Project for the greening and beautification of Thimphu, capital city.
He served as the Chief Forestry Officer in Nature Recreation and Ecotourism Division; and Forest Protection and Enforcement Division of DoFPS. Mr. Damber Rai also served as the National Focal Point of Bhutan for Man and Biosphere Program-UNESCO. In December 2016, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Green Bhutan Corporation Limited, a state owned enterprise, with the core mandate of landscape afforestation program covering all degraded watersheds, spring-sheds and degraded wildlife habitats.
Mr. Damber Rai has the Masters Degree in Environmental Management and Restoration from Charles Sturt University, New South Wales, Australia.
Ram Prasad Dhital
Ram Prasad Dhital Renewable Energy Expert, Nepal has nearly two decades of experience in renewable energy policy formulation and implementation in Nepal, Afghanistan and Vanuatu. Mr Ram served as the Executive Director of Alternative Energy Promotion Center (AEPC) under ministry of energy water resources and irrigation overseeing operations, strategic and technical initiatives in renewable energy sector of Nepal. During his leadership in AEPC for four years (2013/14- 2017/18), Nepal achieved 2% net growth of renewable energy (RE) in total energy mix. Renewable energy used to contribute only 1.5% in 2013/14 whereas by 2017/18, it has been raised to 3.5%
He completed his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, 1997 from Pulchowk Engineering College, Nepal and holds Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, 2002 from University of Oldenburg, Germany. Currently, pursuing PhD degree in sustainable energy at institute of engineering Pulchowk campus, Mr. Ram has more than 15 research, publication and conference papers written and presented at National and International platform globally representing Nepal.
