Ms. Ruhi Murshid Ahmed, Head of CSR, PR & Communication, BSRM Group of Companies, Bangladesh - the first and pioneering steel rolling mill of the country operating since 1952. BSRM produces high-strength reinforced steel that confirms to 10 global standards under the brand name Xtreme-5OOW.

After receiving Master Degree in Business Administration from Dhaka University, Bangladesh, Ruhi eventually built professional career as Corporate banker/analyst, a job of her choice involving structure project finance, a deep-rooted desire to help facilitate industrialists to generate employment. She worked in Canada Scotiabank, in Bangadesh Dhaka Bank Ltd, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC), ANZ Grindlays Bank Limited, Banque Indosuez, in USA East –West Center and School of Public Health, University of Hawaii, Honolulu.

A life transforming opportunity came when BSRM offered Ruhi to create its CSR desk. She left her banking career, returned to Bangladesh in 2013 and has been partnering with many NGOs and Funding Agencies such as TMSS, VSO, UNDP, Handicap Intl, Uttaran, ADORE, NDP, CLP, British Council, CRP, Autism Welfare Foundation for BSRM CSR sustainable programmes, touching as many lives as possible with limited resources.

Ruhi loves music, read books, likes to travel, meeting people at home and abroad.
